Aurlandsfjord, Norway | |
|
The Aurlandsfjord, a branch of the Sognefjord near the Naerøyfjord, is on the ferry route between Gudvangen (Naerøyfjord) and Flåm, at the southern end of the Aurlandsfjord. Aurland is the largest town on the fjord. Undredal is a shore village famous for its old church, and for its goat cheese. Flåm is the southern terminus of the ferries and the northern terminus of the Flåmsbana railway, a spectacular route over the mountains to link up with the main Oslo—Bergen railway line at Myrdal.
