Shopping in Norway | |
|
Whether it's beautiful hand-crafted Norwegian sweaters or cheap plastic trolls made in China, you'll find lots of opportunities to part with cash in Norway. Oslo and Bergen are the best places to shop, but even small train stations and ferry docks in touristy towns will have a souvenir shop. In Oslo, stroll along Karl Johans Gate and you'll see many of the toniest shops. The shopping galleries around Oslo Sentralstasjon have more. In Bergen, the first place everyone goes is the Fish Market at the head of the harbor, then to the charming old streets of Bryggen, but streets inland from the harbor have lots of good stuff too—and that's where Norwegians shop.
